Brother Simeon Forward, MM

John Michael Forward was born in Havre, France on June 15, 1906. He was educated in the public schools of New York and later at Columbia University. Before coming to Maryknoll he was employed as a clerk by the New York Stock Exchange. He entered Maryknoll on October 1, 1935 and took his first Oath in the Society. Two years later, on September 29, he renewed it for the second time.

Brother Simeon died very suddenly at the Vernard. Solemn services were held at the Venard on December l8 after which the remains were brought to Maryknoll and a Solemn Requiem Mass was celebrated on the 20th with Father General preaching the eulogy. Interment was in the Maryknoll cemetery.
