Mabel Beauvais was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, June 9, 1890. She entered Maryknoll on October 15, 1928, was received April 30, 1929 and professed on January 6, 1931.

Education:
Grammar school graduate.
Several Extension Courses in Bookkeeping and Spanish.
John Hopkins University Night School: Political Economy and Applied Psychology.

Mabel Beauvais did extensive traveling for seven years over most of the U.S. (except the Northwest) and also in Canada.

Sister knew French well, and was employed before entering Maryknoll by Bachrach Photo Studio as a studio manager, then worked as a saleslady and did clerical work for Richard Healy Company in Worchester. She also managed a Tea Room.

In 1933, Sister was assigned to China.  In 1935 she was sent to Shanghai at the Hospital, for about seven months, then to Baguio, and in 1939 she returned to the Motherhouse for Propaganda work until her death while on Promotion in Galveston, Texas on March 14, 1946.
