Mother Mary Joseph Rogers, Foundress of the Maryknoll Sisters, offered this guidance to the Maryknoll Sisters during the Advent season in 1944.
“Let us enter into this lovely season of Advent which opens the New Year, highly resolved to live and love, to work and pray as God would have us with buoyant hearts.
Let us strive above all else for the perfection of charity as an antidote to the dreadful hatred that is devouring mankind. Let us be kind and tolerant, thoughtful for one another, tender and sympathetic, cooperative and understanding.”
